LITTLE HAWKS PRESCHOOL

As the Haddon Township High School Child Development teacher , I am thrilled and excited for this years Little Hawks Preschool. Being a HTHS alumni and parent myself, I feel this community program we offer to families in town is so special and important, it helps build bonds and relationships between our teens and their community. The high school students have been working hard to develop lessons and activities that will excite, develop and encourage your little ones. 

Preschool will start with an open house on Friday, January 31st, 2020, 9:35-10:55 am. This will be a time for parents and their little ones to meet the high school students as well as familiarize themselves with the space. There will be activities, games, a craft and snacks. Parents are encouraged to stay for this time to help little ones transition into the new learning environment. 

Regular classes will start Monday February 3rd and run until Wednesday June 3rd, with graduation being held on June 4th. Classes are 9:35-10:55 am Monday thru Thursday in our nursery room (Room 23). 

We encourage your child to attend everyday so the experience can be beneficial to all involved. However, we can be flexible if it works better for your schedule. Children should be between 2-4 years old before the start of Little Hawks and should be fully potty trained. 

Please note that we must be flexible with the Little Hawks schedule due to changes that may occur within the school year due to testing, assemblies, emergency or snow closures. You will be notified ASAP if any schedule changes are necessary.

Monday-Thursday 9:35-10:55 am

2/17-Presidents Day

3/23 to 3/27-Senior Trip

4/13 to 4/17- Spring break

5/18-5/20- Student Testing (subject to change)

5/25- Memorial Day

There is no fee for this service but you may be requested to offer snack or other supplies during the course of the program.

All applications (electronic or paper) must be turned in by January 30th (paper applications are available in the high school main office and may be turned in there as well). There are only 20 positions available for the program and acceptance will be on a first come first serve basis. You will receive a welcome packet with more information by January 23rd. PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION DAY - 2/6/2020

 The district is pleased to offer a preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds for the 2020-2021 school year.

Preschool registration day will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Edison Elementary School from 9:00-10:30 AM.

PLEASE NOTE:  IF YOUR 3 YEAR OLD CHILD ATTENDED THE PROGRAM IN 2019-2020, YOU MUST RE-REGISTER FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.

Students must be completely toilet trained before beginning school in September.  Children must turn 3 on or befoe 10/01/20 to be eligible for the preschool program.

If you are unable to attend preschool registration day, completed registration packets will be accepted at the Board of Education Office, 500 Rhoads Ave.  Please call Alexis Gray at 856-869-7750, ext 1108 to make a registration appointment.

In order to guarantee a spot in the preschool program, completed registration packets must be returned to the Board of Education office by February 28th.

2020-2021 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION DAY

If your child is presently in our preschool program , you do not have to attend the registration.  Your child will automatically be added to your local school's list.  You will, however, have to register for wrap-around care (K Club) if needed.  Deadline for guaranteed placement in the K Club is 3 PM on 2/21/20.
