IN ORDER TO BECOME A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER IN HADDON TOWNSHIP
SCHOOL DISTRICT, THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION IS NEEDED. PAPERWORK
CAN BE PICKED UP AT THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE.
· HADDON TOWNSHIP EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION
· I-9 FORM
· W-4 FORM
· COPY OF MANTOUX (TB) TEST
· COPY OF TEACHER CERTIFICATION OR
· COPY OF SUBSTITUTE CERTIFICATION
If you do not have a substitute certification, the district office will provide
the necessary application.
You will need original transcripts with at least 60 credits along with a
$125.00 check or money order made payable to the Commissioner of Education.
· FINGERPRINTING/CRIMINAL HISTORY CLEARANCE
If you have never been fingerprinted through a school district, we will guide you through the process.
If you have been fingerprinted through another school district, you will need to complete the transfer process for substitute teachers on the NJDOE Criminal History website.
If you have been fingerprinted, but there has been a break in service, you must go through the archive process;
please visit www.nj.gov/education/educators/crimhist and click on ePayment

Once all paperwork has been completed, you will be instructed to contact one of the school principals for an interview. After the interview is completed and you are recommended by the principal, you will be placed on our board agenda for approval.
